He doesn't depend on just a 97 mph fastball like the retards here think. His other pitches are top notch as well. Without a Lange/Poche/Walker in front of him, Hess is a starter. It was a luxury to have him in the closer role last year. He wasn't there because that's where he belongs.

I disagree. Hess started several games last year. His effectiveness dropped as he reached the middle innings. And this was against mid-week competition. Hess was not LSU starter material last year. That doesn’t mean he won’t be this year.
