I highly recommend that anyone wanting to get into yoga go to a studio a few times a month at least as they begin just to learn proper technique. There are a LOT of very good videos out there on the internet for yoga, but none can make adjustments for you.

Plus...yoga pants

Yoga has been huge for my hips as a distance runner. Also have gained a lot of strength in my shoulders as I work toward a shoulder stand. Flexibility and stability are super important in older age, so stretching and getting that balance younger in life will have lasting effects later in life.

People who think it's "girly" or "not manly" to do yoga haven't actually been in a yoga class before.

I have been doing yogalates in BR for a year now. It is a great work out and they change the routine every week. It helped me a lot duck hunting, as my hips used to hurt walking in waders.

I recently got back into running and I. Have never been a runner. It made it a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.
