Using private money for government work seems like it could create serious conflict of interest.
Is it a conflict of interest when a private donor foots the bill to help create a National Park?
You have the option on your taxes to donate additional moneys to all kinds of government organizations.
I see no issue with this. I wish more private organizations would step up and do this with sponsorships for roads and bridges like they do with stadiums. Why not instead of naming bridges after politicians, let DOW put forward a big investment to build a new bridge near Plaquemine in exchange for the naming rights.
