We had some do the same in Southern Indiana.
Kids think they can just jump on Snapchat and that the school or authorities will never find out. Or that doing it on social media won’t result in a consequence.

Look this whole treat every kid the same stuff needs to change. Some kids can grow up without much supervision while some kids are frickups. They have never been treated the same in the past, why are they now?
