A Popeyes employee might laugh when you request something, because—-well shite, what are you even doing trying to request something from Popeyes? Does one ask Mt. Everest to move aside when walking through the Himalaya? Does the lion request clearance from the elephant for safe passage across the savanna? Do you, on hearing a hurricane roaring towards your house, ask it to stop by the store for some Pedialyte and rice crackers, because you’re hungover and really don’t want the hassle of dealing with it and a weather system simultaneously?

No. You don’t get to ask things of the indifferent and superior natural world, and you do not get to ask things of Popeyes.

A friend of mine, who is a HS teacher, told me her students told her.. That if you ever go to Popeyes and you order something that they don't have in the cooking cycle (onion rings, apple pies, etc) they will tell you they are out of it because they don't feel like going get it out the freezer and put it in to fry.

This is kind of off topic... because it's not about not letting you speak.. But one time I went to popeyes and order a shrimp dinner. I pulled up to the window and this biiiiggg ole woman with this big smile told me "hey baby.. Imma need you to pull up over there because I got them hot skirmps coming for you".. It was just the way she looked, she was extra excited to tell me hot skirmps were coming out.. One of my friends were with me and we couldn't stop laughing.. I heard people say skirmp before, but the way she did it was different.. And still makes me laugh when thinking about it.
