How much would it cost to replace the grand prize, refund the sold tickets, and start all over? Where does that money come from? Can it all be done quickly enough to still achieve the teams financial goals? What do they miss out on if those goals aren't met?

It's completely illogical to have to consider all of the above, and more, simply to appease the emotional angst of complete strangers. Strangers that had no clue, and no objection, until a completely unrelated event brought it to their attention.

There is no "common sense" in eliminating a little league fund raiser that has been planned for months.
