He was right, there’s about 47% of families receiving govt assistance, or don’t pay taxes, and weren’t going to vote for someone who wanted to run on lowering taxes and entitlement reform. So, he wasn’t going to change their minds. Likewise, there were hard workers faced with increased tax burdens, working hard to raise families while the Govt saddled them with ever increasing taxes, and insurance premiums under Obamacare.
