When I first came to BR as a wee tot (late '70s) I thought it was paradise. It was a pretty nice place throughout the '80s.
I left around 1990 and didn't come back until 2000. It was immediately very clear that the city had changed a great deal, like virtually every other Southern city.

I loved BR in the 1980's hell Cortana mall was the shite back then and fricking showbiz pizza for the win and the old alex box stadium for a weekend series
