Yes, I will live my life aware of my surroundings and prepared to not have my life taken away by some violent thug. Do you honestly think that having a gun on my person in any way changes the way I go about my daily life? Do you think I live in fear because I choose to conceal carry?

Personally I blame prosecutors for too often letting gun crimes "slide" and not prosecuting them. If everyone who didn't have the right to a gun and yet had one was arrested and prosecuted then a lot of this stuff would go away.
