Well, a trained deputy I'm all for. frick, I'll pay more in taxes to have these people in every school, if it stops even one massacre. Are you down to pay more in taxes for this, as well?

Why pay more? Why not just reassign some cop who would normally be writing speeding tickets?
They can work the school zone before school and write tickets, then walk the halls.
Or, cops could volunteer a few hours a day to do this duty. They don’t have to be paid.
But yeah, I’d pay another $10/year for a cop in each school. Or, better yet, the parents of kids in schools could pay for it.
