I completely agree. Let the teachers volunteer for the training and have them work hand-in-hand with law enforcement to determine an effective emergency plan. Then if it starts happening the teachers and law enforcement are on the exact same page without confusion. Plus with teachers already armed at the school, the shooter doesn't know which one can shoot back and he encounters resistance almost immediately.

Just like plane hijackings are a thing of the past, this can be a thing of the past if we stop making schools so soft.
