There's a reason for that.

Essentially ALL the African-American population of this country came out to see this movie. It was clearly a cultural touchstone, a 'must-see' kind of thing. That's about 10-15% of our population nationwide, and gave the movie a HUGE boost in terms of domestic box-office.

The international market is very different. Europe, and in particular the far east (China, Japan, Korea, etc.) don't have the same type of population breakdown, and thus not as much attraction. I daresay with the ethnocentrism bordering on racism in those far east countries, a cast like that of Black Panther may have even been a "turn-off" in those countries.
