I hunt with a Weatherby .257. You get a lot of bang for your buck
I'm thinking of getting one for a hunting trip I'm planning on taking next year to Colorado for Elk.....excellent eating

My next rifle will be a .308 though.
Highly recommend.....at 250-300 yards it's near perfect beyond 400 though, better be good shot but you don't have to be great.

Any of my handguns would make a better gun for home protection and there's also no better sound than chambering a round in a shotgun. That sound is universal for get back mofo
We agree on this and the sound of the 12 gauge being discharged sends a message.
I just don't like the AR 15 and won't spend money on one and have never considered buying one because I don't see the practical utility.....plus, a lot of the people who have them and claim to know how to use them don't really know how to use them and I've fired hem all , AK's, Bushmasters, Uzis, etc.. Will say though as a killing machine, the AK is without equal...but like I said, I am not a fan of the semi automatic assault type rifle.
