I can accept 3 losses IF the passing attack develops this year and is good by the end of the year. realistically, with a first year starter, we could lose some games just because of that.

Agree - especially since the schedule is more difficult.

I don't necessarily expect much improvement in W/L since our schedule is harder and most of our offensive production will be new starters, but I do expect to see improvements through the course of the year that make me think 2019 is a year we compete for an actual division title. (meaning 1 or less losses).

First, I completely agree that the 2018 schedule is very tough. Aside from 2017 the SEC has been a highly competitive conference for almost 2 decades now, especially the West Division.

People keep using a tough schedule to accept a 3 to 4 loss season and by doing this they’re lowering expectations for the program which hasn’t been done at LSU for quite some time. LSU has the talent to compete a win every game on their 2018 schedule with Bama being the only team with the edge on talent.

High level coaching and program management should have LSU lose less than 3 to 4 games next season. I promise you that the coaching staff expects this and we should as well.

What good coaches use this as an excuse? In fact, I've been told by 0 pumpers that "you can only play the teams on your schedule" to dismiss any criticism that most of 0's wins came against subpar teams or coaches who went on to be fired.
