It's not eroding away, it's being coopted by people with an agenda. Pay attention, these people have learned the best way to change something they do not like is not through direct confrontation but by infiltrating it and changing it from within. Most people in that congregation are too stupid to realize that their enemy planted their flag right there in the middle of the church while they cheered on like a bunch of damn fools.
