I wasn't under the impression he's trying to kill the benefits..........just trying to kill the "impossible to fire no penalty for sucking" approach.

As long as you have far better health benefits, I don't see this being an issue.

Besides, as a person who works with these people...........we could use a bit of a "brain drain".

Think about it. They're nearly impossible to fire.

Well. Hiring is an imperfect science. You're going to "miss" every so often no matter what.

Welp. That causes an accumulation over time of suck.

I would say that it's arguable that about 25% of the govt employees around me are carrying 90% of the load.

A lot of the federal workforce is unionized (which is ridiculous) so it isn't going to be easy to pull this off.

Kudos for him if he does (and I can't stand the man). Federal workers have needed an overhaul for a long time.
