always odd to me that these civil lawsuits aren't accompanied by criminal charges being filed. If that is, in fact, what happened, why is she just looking for a payday instead of holding him accountable in a criminal court. SOL in Tennessee is 4 years for simple sexual assault and 8 years for aggravated. SOL for a civil lawsuit is 1 year, so I'm not sure how this is not being tossed out

Burden of proof is much lower in civil court. These he said, she said cases are incredibly difficult to prove in criminal court.

Because this is nearly impossible to prove.
