Kiffen leaving turned out to something that could be considered a promotion. He was coming to LSU as OC which would have been a lateral move. He then took a huge pay-cut for a HC position.

I can think of one who apparently needed to go. Who are the other coaches you speak of? I thought that besides Canada every coach who has left was for a better position or because the were let go.
