LSU Football Fan Check In

Post or upvote if you are and will always be an LSU Fan.
This doesn’t mean you have to like the coach.
This doesn’t mean you have to like the AD.
This doesn’t mean you have to like the President of the university.
But no matter what, through thick and thin. You with out a doubt support the players on this team.
Here’s to the guys that are gonna suit up this fall and go to war for the Purple and Gold!
Here’s to Devin White, Rashard Lawrence, Ed Alexander, and Greedy Williams leading a nasty defense!
Here’s to Myles Brennan, Lowell Narcisse, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Garret Brumfield stepping up and leading the offense!
Here’s to Terrace Marshall, JaMarr Chase, Kelvin Joseph, and Badore Traore (sp?) for signing with the Tigers!

You know, I understand being disappointed and complaining because we all want LSU to be the best.
What I don’t understand is how so called fans are giving up their tickets or outright cheering for LSU to lose so we can get a new coach.
Or why so many are just throwing in the towel for next year. We have a really tough schedule but our 2 toughest games are at home and we as fans can help our team win.

Where’s this come from? I’ve seen it multiple times now. But I’ve never seen someone flat out say “I hope we lose”
It’s more of a “we’re heading in the wrong direction and here’s the evidence” kind of thing

Sometimes the path to success is going backwards a bit. Whatever it takes for LSU to be successful again. That's what a true fan thinks.
Are you telling me you would rather go 7-5 the next 3 years instead of going 5-7 next year and then 11-2 and 12-1 after that? If you knew that losing now meant more wins in the future, would you do it? That's where it comes from and it makes sense in a lot of ways.

The thing is, you don’t know any of the stuff you posted.
There’s no guarantee that we go 7-5 next year. Hell if Brennan is as good as advertised and this Defense plays to potential, 10 wins is very attainable.
Also, going 5-7 next year and getting a new coach sure as hell doesn’t guarantee we go 11-2 abd 12-1 in the following years.
So no I would not rather go 5-7 next year just so we can get a new coach. I’d rather cheer for the tigers to win every game we play.
If O fails, fire him and bring in the next guy. But don’t tell me that “true fan” should want us to lose, that’s a joke.

I took everyone off of it and put coach O’s name down.
Like I said in the OP, you don’t have to like the coach to Love the Tigers.

I'll bet if EVERY one on here saying they are giving up tickets is a lie. I've seen some saying they will give them to someone. That is NOT giving them up. It is hedging a bet that O will be fired in the near future. There are probably FEW that will give them up. Then again there may be some spoiled millennials that NEED to find another team and support them until they have a hiccup in recruiting. The negativity is embarrassing from a few. What player would want to try and satisfy these few. Well, of course, it is a good thing the players have sense enough to realize the opportunity regardless of a few people that CAN'T be satisfied. Florida State needs some fan support I am sure.
