I don't think this is reactionary though, I think it is strategic. They are going to put faces out there that haven't been attacked for 13 straight months. Fresh untarnished faces that will deliver his message at a time when momentum is changing on the economy and Russian collusion ahead of the midterm. In the past, repubs were hesitant to back him because of all the bullshite manufactured scandal. Time is a changing and Dems have reason to be afraid.
