quote:Any BBB made before E-Z-Go bought them will be full of headaches. I had one (don't remember the model year), and it was in the "recall" that E-Z-Go never announced (the Consumer Product Safety Commission did issue a recall). Mine was one of many that "ran away" @ full throttle -- with no one touching the gas pedal (thus the recall).
I thought they had a reputation of breaking and costing an arm and a leg to repair
I don't know if they got any more reliable after E-Z-Go bought them. I do know they were pretty much re-designed after the acquisition.
I had enough troubles, and know enough other people who had troubles, that I'll never own a BBB again. I bought a 48-volt 2WD Beast to replace it - have had it for about 5 years - and couldn't be more pleased.
