I realize that but He was flagged when he came into the league

And played 6 full years without it becoming an issue and has been monitored.

He was cleared and had no problems, so they signed him. Something new popped up 2 months later, they did their due diligence otherwise, so its their fault someone was medically cleared at the time and something new came up?

Oh, how do you know? Like the saints training staff has earned the benefit of the doubt

I can’t find the article but when this fairley stuff came out it was said an independent Dr uncovered this problem, not the saints team Drs. The one I read from the other day Day mentions Saints Drs but that is not what was reported at the time

i know you are talking about the heart condition but he had other injuries that shortened his years with the Lions.

2014 is the main year I'm thinking about. He missed like half of the season and it had to be a big reason they let him walk and he signed with the Rams.

he did good in between his rookie and his last year with the Lions. Basically 2 below par years and 2 good ones. I remember thinking him and Suh were going to terrorize teams for years to come but that clearly did not work out.

Fairley was a good player but he was prone to some dumb penalties also. In the Chiefs game in 2016 he made a bad foul late in the game that helped keep the ball with the Chiefs and then they ran out the clock.

I honestly was nervous when he first signed with New Orleans cause he was close to home and he'd been in trouble early in his career (both incidents in hometown). But I guess he wised up and that stuff isn't an issue anymore. Hopefully he find a niche some where and he doesn't screw off and blow all of his money.
