The goal of Watergate was to wiretap phone conversations between DNC officials and prostitutes in order to embarrass the Dem campaign. And Nixon knew nothing about the plan.
The goal of Memogate was to get legal permission to wiretap Trump to embarrass the campaign and provide an avenue for impeaching him if elected. We don't know yet what Obama knew.
This is much worse than Watergate.
