May be, may not. The only thing I have to go off of was his stint as the OC in 2016. He averaged 465 yards and 32 points per game. Better than what LSU did last season. But, I'll try to be miserable just in case.

We don't have the OC years in the 80s and 90s to go off of?

you know good well that a coaches past isn't what they are judged by. everyone knows coaches are paid by what they accomplish in the future.

That ole LSU catastrophe syndrome again.

A company's marketing dept has a very friendly, outgoing and energetic employee. But he just doesn't seem to be cut out for desk work and isn't the best at his position.

A sales job comes open and the marketing boss tells the sales manager about his employee. The sales guy takes a chance on the employee.

The company has a marketing/sales meeting. The sales guy is just blown away. He tells the mktg manager how well the new guy is working out. In just over a month he has become the 3rd best salesman. And that is so-far with just the clients the previous salesperson had. But the guy is beating the bushes for new leads and clients. The sales mgr just raves over the job his new guy is doing and the feedback he has gotten from customers as well as the other employees.

BUT, their is an LSU fan in the meeting. He just can't stand good news. So he says "yeah, but what about last month when he was in marketing? He wasn't doing a great job then. He wasn't being sought after by other departments or other companies. This was a bad idea. He didn't install a new sales approach or anything. This company will probably be out of business in a couple years because of this if it lasts that long. It's all your fault Mr. Sales Manager."

Or you could hold Bill Belichick's early career against him now even if he has won multiple super bowls.

And how about that suck-arse Saban fellow who couldn't beat UAB or ULM. I bet he will suck forever.
