And MJ was replaced by a CBA journeyman ( Pete Myers) and the Bulls were a phantom foul on Pippen from closing out the Knicks in the playoffs. Had the Bulls not settled for Myers and gone after Derek Harper ( who was traded to the Knicks for beer)instead....

Not only that, Jordan retired ONLY A MONTH before the regular season started thereby preventing the Bulls from acquiring any viable, high-profile free agents and/or executing beneficial trades that summer to somewhat fill his void. The player they signed to occupy MJ's 2 spot? Pete Myers, PETE PHUCKING MYERS and they still win 55 games.
