Aren't online sales exempt from sales taxes unless the retailer has an actual physical presence in the state?

That just means the seller isn’t registering in the state and won’t be collecting sales tax on your behalf. It’s still on the purchaser to pay use tax unless there is an exemption.

What I thought but JBE says you was thought wrong. Your computer is located in the State.
