I always buy a local sim card which costs about $5-$10. The sim cards usually have about 1 gig of data included which will last me 3 or 4 days. You also get a local ph# with calls and texting but I rarely use that.....although I do input the ph# into my uber app so drivers can call me.

Okay I just figured out that my Verizon iPhone will let me swap SIM cards...so I will look at those instead.
