Two huge no-go's for me are:

1) Can't change the bulbs. Like wtf...it's a light, you HAVE to be able to change the bulb. That was just stupid of Ring.

2) No option for it to be hardwired.

Good thing is that Ring has excellent customer service and value consumers' feedback. They may fix these issues. If so, I'd definitely consider one. I have the doorbell pro and it is pretty good overall. Only reason I got it even though it is wireless, is because my router is basically at the door right by it.

Yeah, that would be nice. Their cameras require very good coverage to work properly.

Ring has released an “Elite” doorbell that works with POE, but is $500... kinda a big jump from their other models at $150-250.

They are also coming out with a new “Elite” stickup cam that will work with POE (and/ or wireless) as well, but no price has been announced yet
