Basically anything that irritates brain tissue can cause swelling, just as with any area of the body. I’m sure they’ve done a spinal tap to rule out hydrocephalus. If the swelling becomes too bad they will take off a flap of the skull to reduce the pressure. If they haven’t done this yet it’s either a good sign or the doctors are incompetent.

Nurse, think it’s possible to have a malformation that causes the build up of fluid in the brain show itself later than in childhood/infancy? Just wondering.
