I’m the opposite of these lifelong pats fans..I grew up outside of Boston till I was 9 then moved the Mandeville in 1985 ..all I knew was the Boston sports and family up there huge fans; pats Super Bowl run (then got demolished ), 1 or 2 best basketball team at that time in the Celtics winning championships, and cried at 10 watching Bill Buckner miss a simple play to cause the Sox the World Series.biggest fan
Within 1-2 years the saints, as crappy as they were, replaced the pats because they were the home team and grew on me instantly . Still a Sox and bruins fan (not much into hockey anymore) but as soon as the hornets came to town I dropped the Celtics too.
Once the pats started winning I felt nothing , same for the Celtics run with pierce, KG, and ray.
I know this is rambling but I can’t undersrand how folks can have passion for two teams.
