To this day I still think the old Mckenzies style plain King Cake is the best. Mandeville bake shop makes one just like it and it's awesome.

I like Keller's. Shits expensive though $20 for a small one and it's like half the size of the small one from Walmart. Got a good filling to dough ratio though.

The round one with the icing was great. The big oval ones without icing were ok but kinda dry.

Agreed, have an upvote. It didn’t have all the artery clogging additives used on, and in, many king cakes today that mask the great flavor of the bread (if the bread is even as good as McKenzies).
