Picked up a Ping Vault Oslo yesterday on a trade, and it has 1 degree of loft added to it. Reading an article (will link) that has a number of pros associated with adding loft. Any of you baws experiment with it?

Still got some non-Ping wedges... but the Stealth Glides might drive me to buy them.
And you're the one who planted the TR grooves in my head.

I did. Then, I bought a putter without them
I was sure the v-line was going to be a short term thing, then I went out and drained everything with it.
As far as loft, I have a vertical putter shaft at impact. I have been fitted and it seems that the standard of 3* that Odyssey makes is fine with me. I know that other folks would benefit from a more lofted putter

That's what I've gathered, but I think it's only up to 4 degrees which is still in the "ideal" for "majority" of putters.
Putting is my weak link... I might bend this bitch to 10 degrees just to see if it helps

Get a hula hoop and put the cup in the middle. Learn to make every putt inside of that hula hoop. Then, on long putts, pretend there is a hula hoop around the hole. Knock into the hula hoop. Then, tap in. That's how I really got better at putting. Once, you get the hang of it, make the hula hoop a 5 gal bucket. Then, start trying to make them.

is this some more of your advice that you dont take?
you've made me a question everything you say now dammit. You probably just want to see me lug a hula hoop, bucket and other contraptions out to the course.
Will try it this weekend.

I seriously did this, and if I couldnt putt, I would be a 20 handicap instead of a 12. I don't hit many greens, but I knock it when I putt.
Phil does the same with tees (actually a lot of pro golfers do) I actually read this advice in a golf digest column where they were interviewing him.

I would get a kick out of that. Where do you normally play?

Right on. I'll have to give it a shot!

I had an issue of raising my head during the stroke causing lots of mishits. Someone showed me a drill where you put a tee all the way in the green and put the ball on the tee. When you putt, see the tee. That has really helped my consistency with both direction and speed because I'm hitting the center much more often. Great drill.

Why don’t you just not raise your head?

That's a great drill if you are having contact/consistency issues. What's really cool is you can do it in your house by just using a spot on the floor.
I do a lot of practice putting in our spare bedroom on the carpet. It saved me from going full "Shining" this week while stuck inside.

A more lofted putter might be good but I’ll never have one. If I see any loft on a putter, mentally I’m going to alter my stroke
