You get reported to a collection agency and it goes on your credit report

You can't get reported to a credit agency from international bills

Medical does not go on your credit bureau.
You DO go into medical collections, and they will pursue you. Wife works in this field. If you get sent to medical collections, they will first try to work out a plan with you. As long as you're paying SOMETHING, they'll just keep sending you monthly bills.
