Oil always comes back
I have friends in finance, banking, insurance, accounting, construction, sales(not oil related), healthcare, IT, and several other industries that make very good money in Lafayette.

I'm not saying that non oil jobs are non existent but just about every area you mentioned has been hammered by the lack of cash flow in the area.
