Me as an a-hole?
While true, that situation is hardly any example of that fact.
Yours was a situation of pure selfishness. You took a chance and dropped a bomb on a fragile family in a most difficult time. Their family was very gracious...more than I ever would have been.
Now giving your wife congratulations for closure in regards to her bastard that she did not give two fricks about until it was too late.....THAT is me being an a-hole.
