Ryan Clark needs to start coaching if he wants to coach. He should take an analyst position with LSU or another P5 school. That's generally the route to go for players with no coaching experience.

After a year or two as an analyst learning the college coaching game, he would likely be in high demand as a coach.

He comes off as an entitled punk in that tweet, though. That won't help his cause.

Here comes the buffoons saying Clark doesn’t know enough to coach safeties.

Just hit me over head and hopefully I wake up when it’s all over.

He already actively coaches one of the best 7on7teams in the country which is about all he can do considering his ESPN obligations. I’ve met Ryan several times and the dude is the real deal, he could be an excellent full-time coach if he wanted to or could continue on his current path with ESPN (assuming he doesn’t get caught in the layoffs) and be successful at either. LSU should give him a look, but they won’t because he probably uses a store bought roux.

Sort of like the annual “why won’t we hire Kevin Mawae” cry

Now I see that Clark apparently does do some coaching. In that case, sure maybe LSU oughta give him a look. Everyone else “gets a shot” to coach at LSU.

But I do trust Aranda to put together his staff.

Hold on. Haven’t you argued before that orgeron was qualified and a good choice when others were saying he needed to go coach at a smaller program first to prove himself? The argument was that he had been around great coaches and learned his lessons so there was no need to coach at a lower level before LSU.

NOW potential position coaches need to prove themselves first and cut their teeth at smaller schools but this wasn’t necessary for the head coach?

Ok cool, just wanted to clarify
