Figure he doesnt want to seem ungrateful or make this about money, so he makes an awkward, but not completely unreasonable request...knowing full well we already replaced Grimes. He gets his 'no' and everything in Gilbert's world goes back to normal with no backlash. Smart play by him all around
Oh, I could certainly believe this. Gives him an easy reason to pass. I’m just saying he couldn’t have actually truly expected Orgeron to fire the OL coach he just hired less than a month ago.
