I’m pumping LSU for $2 million and have a handshake deal to be the Coach when O leaves. That should be about another season or two. Why sit behind Jimbo when you know he’s going to be there for a long tenure? Hell, maybe at $3 million a year the guy may not want to be a head coach.

What makes you think LSU can afford to pay a coordinator 3 mil/yr? You couldn't afford Jimbo and can't afford O's buyout.

Why not take the money at A&M, watch LSU implode from afar, and come back and save the day for twice the money in another year. Sure beats keeping your incompetent boss employed another 3 years.

So if he stays and the program really bottoms out like it would have to for O to be gone in the next year or two you would be ok with hiring from within?

A handshake deal from an AD that will be fired before O is worth nothing. Not to mention fans won't want Aranda as much once O is finished dragging us to hell.
