You would solve it just like you did in the bcs days and highest ranked two teams go. It’s better than shoehorning a second weaker division champ into a title game. Who cares if they played the week before. Auburn had played uga only a few weeks before under the current system.

With the amount of teams and conferences someone is always getting left out. Id rather play more conference games and have better teams across the board playing in these title games if you’re going to keep them.
