Yea I’m familiar with the state. I graduated college in 13. Was flat out not told the complete truth by the recruiters for months m. Made I all the way to the interview. It went well. Met with the captain of troop a. He was a flat out jerk. Said why would I hire you when I can hire someone that has a trooper to vouch for them. I told him
What the recruiters had been telling me and he flat out laughed. Wasted time. Although my life has worked out great, I have always been a little salty towards the state. Thank God I have a degree and it wasn’t in criminal justice. Haha

Did you move on from law enforcement or you work for another agency?

No I decided to use my business degree. I thought about it, but got an incredible offer from a company I met with during college so I have been with them since. It still bothers me how the state went down. Not that I should have been accepted, because they had better qualified people, but with how the state went about deceiving people like me. They had me firmly believing I was what the state was looking for. After meeting with the cap, I’m the last type of person they are looking for(and that’s okay with me). Just be honest.
