Alts and become less and less dependent on BTC, we've seen BTC make mini runs and alt prices stay then they grow 50% when BTC starts to shrink. Now it may be less people pulling from alts to put back into BTC

Agree, I'm more and more confident on alts' ability to stand on their own. Better stated, more optimistic that a bullish 3-5k BTC run won't cripple alts for 3-7 days or more. If you've been trading a while, you know from experience.
If alts can survive such a run without bleeding out completely, I'll be comfortable holding larger %'s of smaller cap or riskier alts. I've got plenty as it is and no complaints in recent weeks, just keeping cautious.
