You don’t think the other major cities in each state skew the COL as well? I’m sure Dallas, Houston, and Austin skew Texas’ overall COL a lot more than NO does Louisiana’s.

Orleans Metro is nearly 1/3 of our population, and the only place in Texas with rents anything like New Orleans is Austin. Does 1/3 of Texas live in Austin?
