I grew up and own a home in Louisiana, baw.
Wanting my own state to be better, and pointing out our issues is one of the most responsible things you can do about it. I’m not going to drink a 12 pack of bud light and cook some sausage and pretend we don’t have issues. Louisiana could and should have one of the strongest economies in the nation. We don’t because most of our college educated move to Texas.

So you feel good about yourself because you "got out?" And if you care that deeply why aren't you doing something about it? What will bitching on tigerdroppings accomplish other than getting personal satisfaction for being "enlightened?"

What is even more sad is that taxpayers pay for a lot of their education only for them to leave right afterwards. It's a major flaw with TOPS
