I wish I could find a lightweight model from RIA. Now my debate is between 10mm and 45acp. The price of ammo does not matter to me. I want this gun to conceal carry in public and as a side arm when hunting. Still debating which caliber I'm going to order.

Actually, RIA has an Officer's (3.5" barrel) lightweight aluminum frame 1911 in their catalog. The weight's not listed, but I just had an online chat w/ RIA and they said the following:
"Weight. Loaded 0.962 kg / 2.12 lbs / 962 g
Weight, Empty (Approx.) 820 g
We are hoping to have this in 2018."
The empty weight equates to 29 oz. For comparison, the Glock 19 weight is 21 oz empty and 30 ounces fully loaded.
