Oil's job is to suspend contaminates. Just because it synthetic doesn't mean it can suspend more than regular oil. Don't go over 5,000 if you do a lot of in town driving. Only go longer if you do long interstate drives weekly. I never go over 5,000.

If the synthetic blends contains diester glycol the oil will dissolve carbon, not simply hold it in suspension.
