Doubt it will be permanent

This. Didn’t he say he did not want the full time gig when he was interim OC? I don’t know why that would have changed and why there is so much panic now.

I get that the jury is still deliberating this overall coaching experiment but many here need to pump the breaks a bit on the impending LSU football Armageddon. That being said I don’t trust Alleva.

I'm pretty sure he was well aware that they couldn't hire O and make him OC at the same time. The Canada hire eased some of the fans from melting over O's hire. So of course he would say that. He wasn't a real option then.

Its possible O wanted him all along.

Look at how Alleva handled the coaching search of Orgeron. Its possible to see this scenario playing out..

Option 1- Freeze. O pitches/already has pitched this and knows he will not get board approval.

Option 2- Sark. Atlanta makes the playoffs and he maybe keeps his job. Alleva and O don't wait the extra week or two the find out.

Shut it down at that point and hire Ensminger (who O maybe wanted all along anyway).

At this point we need to pull like hell for Carolina and Seattle to win. That will at least possibly put Orgeron in the position to HAVE to explore the option of hiring Sark, otherwise fans would burn that place to the ground and Orgeron and Alleva automatically go on a burning hot seat next season.

We fully cant expect a thorough search, where we explore the best options possible if Sark/Freeze are off the table. Its not how things have been done in years with the football program, so why should we believe it happens now?
