What is funny is that you are spot-on and everyone is ragging on you for it. Been to several Saints games in last few years, of varying importance. People are there for the game. Been to almost every LSU home game for years. People are there for the event, part of which is the game, but for many people the game isn't any more important than the tailgate/party/walk around campus. They leave early because they have done what they came to do already. Overall atmosphere for the day-- LSU game in a landslide. Actual in game atmosphere-- probably Saints unless it is Bama or a good SEC team.
You nailed it. And many of the newer generation LSU fans are more concerned about posting on social media that they are tailgating and/or are at the game than the result of the game.

Again, who cares?
