I grew up in a small town outside of Huntsville, AL, then lived in Huntsville itself from HS through college.
Since then I've lived in small towns and big cities all across the world.
So I've pretty much experienced the entire spectrum...and I still prefer mid-sized cities. I find your average person annoying and even more so in large groups, but I also like amenities. So my preference is to live somewhere nice and quiet away from people, but within a short drive of things I enjoy doing.
