Shun makes a good, affordable knife. I prefer Wüsthof at that price range, but to each their own. Really trying to find a good reason not to pick up a Bob Kramer Carbon from Zwilling right now...

The Shun knives are fine for my needs and they’re from my kids which carries more value to me than OMG I have the most expensive knives out there!
I know you didn’t imply that and it wasn’t directed at you. Some people are just asses (Caplewood) and should stick the tRant instead of a helpful forum like the Food and Drink Board.
I also have some Zwilling and Henkel that were passed down to me. Nice knives as well.
