I never thought about the shirt color or shadows, that will have to be something i take into consideration on the next trip. The trolling motor scares them the most from what i can tell.

Yeah I used to wear a bright orange shirt, not any more. I've noticed they "seem" to spook easier when I'm wearing that compared to a white or blue shirt. It's always easier to see with sun at your back but you will also cast a bigger shadow. If it's flat calm the fish are more likely to spook from noise or the trolling motor but the windier it is the harder you can run the trolling motor and the more noise you can make. (Most of the time) There's always exceptions but that's what I've come to notice.

I've also had a package sitting on my desk for you that I need to get around to sending out. I'll try and do it later this afternoon.

with a 30+ inch platform, will one tie down in the center work, or are 2 needed? what locations? front back, or left and right. Im thinking front and back because that is where it would want to tip. any suggestions on tie down brands?
